Cassia County

Cassia county takes pride in its rich history, abundant natural resources and the striking balance of a rich natural resources and modern industries. The town of Burley is mainly an agriculture and farming town. The locals work hard, they enjoy family life and enjoy the outdoor recreation along the Snake River, including the River’s Edge golf course. You can find some beautiful riverfront homes and a couple restaurants with a view! Burley is also home to the Cassia County fairgrounds, 2 grocery stores, a Super Walmart, many storefronts, and all the conveniences of a large city.

Albion is a small quaint town with old town charm and loads of history, including the haunted mansions of Albion. This spooky area is open to the public only during the month of October. Be sure to put this on your bucket list during the fall. Home of the Pomerelle Ski Resort. The beauty of the historic buildings and the scenic nature that surrounds this town is a must visit. Independence Lakes offers fishing, camping and hiking around the lake. In the Albion mountain range is one of the most stunning lakes in Southern Idaho. Lake Cleveland is located in the Sawtooth National Forest and sits above Mt. Harrison. There are surrounding campsites and beautiful hillside terrain. 

Cassia county is also the home of the City of Rocks National Reserve near the town of Malta.  The national park which is 14,407 acres is not just a great place for hiking, rock climbing, hiking and biking but is also a historical and geological gem.
