Jump on the Sun Valley Story Tour bus for a one-hour guided tour past historical sites such as the Horace Lewis home and mining historical sites\, the Union Pacific Terminal\, Comstock-Clark Mercantile Building\, and many more. \nLocation: Tour will depart from the Visitor Center 491 Sun Valley Road\, Ketchum. (The Visitor Center is located inside the Starbucks building). \n\nRegistration is required. To register call 208.726.3423 or register in-person at the Visitor Center. \nCowboy Poetry 1:00 pm\n\nMosey on over and listen to Cowboy Bards as they spin their yarns of the old open range\, a way of life now just dust in the wind\, and tales of folks and times long since ridden off into the sunset. DESCRIPTION:Sun Valley Tour de Force\n\n\n\nCome to the 6th Annual Sun Valley Tour de Force – July 20-22\, 2023. The weekend’s free event is the ‘NO SPEED LIMIT’ high-speed runs at Phantom Hill. The 3.2 miles of state highway becomes a no-speed limit zone in the heart of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. For one day only\, drivers can put their machines to the ultimate test. The fastest speed on record is a Bugatti Chiron achieving 253.01mph. Drivers come from all over the country and beyond; it’s truly an experience of a lifetime.  \nAdditional weekend events include scenic drives\, a curated Car Show\, Cars & Comedy\, hosted sponsor events\, and a live auction fundraiser for The Hunger Coalition and the local community.  \nEvents: \nThe SVTdF Car Show – Friday\, July 21\, 5 pm – 8 pm at Festival Meadow:\nThe SVTdF Car Show is a highly anticipated event with supercars\, classics\, and collectibles on display. Up to 200 cars can enter the show. This event allows spectators to check out sponsor cars\, purchase SVTdF merchandise\, and enjoy local food and beverage specialties. Be entertained with commentary from Peter Bush\, veteran radio personality\, and SVTdF Car Show advisor Max Monahan.  \n‘NO SPEED LIMIT’ High-Speed Runs at Phantom Hill – Saturday\, July 22nd\, 7:30 am – 3 pm\nThe high-speed runs occur on a four-mile stretch of Highway 75. Approximately 15 miles north of Ketchum in the scenic Sawtooth National Recreation Area  \nSpectators are allowed to view the event from Phantom Hill\nWhen the road is hot\, participating cars will travel at high speeds for 20 minutes. Highway 75 will be closed to North and South traffic. Once the road is open\, cars will be allowed to travel through going both directions. Furthermore\, no parking is allowed on Highway 75 on the four-mile permitted stretch of highway. \nThis land is regulated and governed by the Forest Service and has limited Sun Valley Tour de Force access.
