The town of Gooding is home to the world’s largest cheese barrel manufacturer and the largest trout farm. With a very low unemployment rate and several industries based in the county, it is a great place to settle down. If you’re looking for peace and serenity, check out the small town of Wendell. Wendell boasts two state parks. Niagara Springs State Park. Relaxing waterholes for fishing. Bring the family for an afternoon picnic and playground area for the kids. Ritter Island State Park is also located in Wendell. A nice place to take a stroll along the trails and enjoy the beauty of the nature that surrounds you. 

The town of Hagerman is truly magical! It is known for its outdoor water adventures and natural wonders. This town runs along the Snake River, it also has beautiful natural springs. One of Southern Idaho’s main attractions is the crystal clear blue waters at Blueheart Springs. Take a kayak trip to get there. The more scenic route is paddling from Thousand Springs State Park (Ritter Island), where you paddle 3.29 miles each way. Or, the shorter route is starting from Banbury, only 1.58 miles each way. You can also rent kayaks at Blue Heart Kayaking and kayak right from there which is an easy 3/4 of a mile to Blueheart.  Don’t miss both Ritter Island and Box Canyon’s stunning waterfalls and hiking. Need more adventure? Check out the 8-mile white water rafting at Hagerman Reach in Thousand Springs. Hagerman is also known for their hot springs. Spend a day checking out the hot springs at Miracle Hot Springs, Banbury Hot Springs and an indoor hot springs pool at 1000 Springs resort. You can also enjoy the campgrounds right along the river at the resort. Plenty of fishing spots include Riley Pond, Oster Lakes, Anderson Ponds and Bass Ponds.
