Jerome County

Jerome is the state's gateway to Magic Valley and Southern Idaho. Its strategic location on I-84, neighbors Twin Falls to the East and a short drive to Boise to the West. Jerome is known for its farmland, 13 local parks, the summer farmers market from June thru October and its local county fair. Jerome County consists of Eden, Hazelton and Jerome.  Jerome county is home of the Japanese American relocation internment camp during World War II. Today known as the historic site Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial, you can visit and walk along the 1.6 mile walking trail to honor the soldiers who died during that time. Take a glimpse of history when you take a trip to the Idaho Farm and Ranch Museum sponsored by the Jerome County Historical Museum. You can also visit the Jerome County Museum that is located in an old train depot that was built in 1910.

If you are into spelunking, explore the Clay caves which are part of the Jerome County Tunnels. What looks like a tiny cave but would open to a grand view. You can also visit Mermaid Cove, a popular waterfall hiking destination. For outdoor adventure visit Snake River Canyons Park, a 6.25 sq. miles of ATV riding, mountain biking, equestrian trails and recreation areas.
