Why is there a Need to Move?

They say nothing in this world is constant except death and taxes. So while some may be creatures of habit, and others have the itch for adventure, it is safe to say that your first home may not be your forever home. We might need more space, we might need less space, we might have a career change, and we might not be happy where we are right now. So the best next step will be to move.

Lifestyle Change

It is no surprise that eventually, the home that we used to love so much will not fit our current lifestyle. The kitchen top where you prepped up the meatloaf recipe that you were still learning as a newlywed now cannot accommodate the daily grind of preparing the meal for your growing family as well as sending your children to the best-rated schools.

The four-bedroom house that used to fill the home with noise and laughter is now too big for an empty nester who sent off their youngest to college. Time to consider downsizing.

When the pandemic hit, we were not expecting everything to come to a complete halt. We could not visit out-of-town family members as easily as we used to. Some may need to be closer to family members now than before. Our priorities have shifted, and it is both a sentimental and practical decision to be with family members or at least be closer.

Throughout the years, we have seen everything from elderly parents having to sell their beloved home to move in with their children or moving due to a family situation, such as divorce, or just looking for a change of scenery. Whatever our reason is, the adventure begins as soon as we think about shifting gears. Even if this will be our second or 5th move, the process can be overwhelming.
